The History of Riviera

1979

Sobloco Construtora flies by helicopter over the region and sees the potential. Planning begins for the largest urban development project on the Brazilian coast.

1981

Infrastructure work begins. The bridge over the Itapanhaú River connects the region to the northern coast, opening the way for development.

1986

Opening of the supermarket and petrol station — Riviera's first commercial services. The community begins to take on a life of its own.

1991

Opening of the first segment of Riviera Shopping, a milestone in the commercial development of the neighbourhood.

2000

ISO 14001 certification — Riviera becomes the first urban development project in the world to receive this international environmental recognition.

2024 / 2025

Launch of the newest modules. Riviera reaches 12,600 residential units and continues its planned expansion.
